All of a sudden I can't seem to load any custom factions without Terran crashing out with a Windows illegal function box reporting an Invalid Page Fault. Any ideas what I can do? |

The game is sensitive to things like line length in the *.txt file, as well as you needing associated *.flc and *.pcx, *2.pcx, and *3.pcx files. Try axing or shortening lone lines in the text file to try and figure out which one is the problem. jkm firaxis games |

I'll try that, but it may be something deeper, since I can't seem to load ANY custom factions, including those supplied by a source whose other files have worked. I haven't yet tried a faction that definitely worked before yet. I'll get back when I have. |

You're right, the quotes in the files concerned were all in one long line, so that's sorted. What is the *.flc file anyway? The custom factions work without it, so I'm guessing it's the quote. Correct? |

I thought the .flc was the pictures shown by the bioscan during negotiations? The torture flick is shown based on the sex setting in the faction.txt file. -Darkstar |
