A friend and I were playing over TCP/IP until we got disconnected. I had saved the game just a couple of turns before, but Multiplayer only lets me start a new game, and loading the previous game sets it up for PBEM.

Is it possible for us to resume, or did we waste two hours?

Sure. Have the person who saved the game host a new one. On the setup screen, under type of game, select Load Game. Enjoy!

Thanks Jeffrey!

So my friend should simply re-join in the game settings screen and choose the same faction before I launch?

Out of curiousity, could one join the game and take over one of the factions that was previously computer-controlled (ie. adding a third person)?

Yes, others can join as well later, be carefull not to put in a password, leave it blank or the game could be broken by not knowing a password.
Also the host should save the game when its his/her turn.
