I have installed the newest patche but now when I load the game I can only see the bottom half of the screen at the top of the screen and the area underneath is left blank, anyone know what the problem is?

Yikes. Don't know what's going on there. I'd uninstall the entire game, delete the firaxis folder from the program files folder and reinstall the retail box and then apply patch 4.0.
