I am having major problems with the sound. It stutters incredibly every time it makes a noise, even on the opening game screen. I've tried changing the sound files D3d from 1 to 0 (one below it also). The problem has existed since the first version. It is most annoying in the spoken sections which I would really like to hear. I am using an IBM thinkpad (laptop) with a pentium 90, I have direct x 6, and 32 mb of ram. I have not done a laptop install, might this be the problem? Any suggestions on what to do would be appreciated. The borad I have is supposed to be compatible with direct x 6. There are no new drivers for it that I could find (site however was very confusing). Thanks!

Well, perhaps the biggest problem I can see is that you're well below the minimum requirement for the game (p133). This can sometimes cause signifigant problems to occur. Another thing is that laptop soundcards often poorly support DirectX. I'd run dxdiag.exe (c:\program files\directx\setup) and see what DX thinks about your soundcard under drivers.
