I changed the videocard from G200 to G400.
So it won't start.Please help!

Try reinstalling DX 6.1. It might have the correct drivers installed. Also, try setting your hardware acceleration to 0. Right-click on my computer, select properties, then performance, then graphics. Set the slider to 0. If those don't work, what happens, if anything, when you try to run it? What's your system specs?

Is this the japanese version of Windows? If so, many people have solved this problem by disabling the Input Method Editor, though as to how you do that, I'm unclear.

I solved the problem by disabling IME2000.

How exactly do we do that? I asked Kenji, and he said he switched to another front end input software which I don't have.
I tried ending IMEJMGR using CTRL+ALT+DEL, but the game will still not run. I also tried changing the language of Windows in the registry and rebooting to no avail.
SMAC is the only game that gives me this trouble. Why?
