Greetings.
I am not sure this is a bug, or undocumented feature, or brain burp on my part. In a war against Morgan, I have a stack of units beside his base. I have not infiltrated his data links yet. However, I expect to be able to see what military units are located in the base, per normal visibility rules of SMAC. However, can't see a thing. Why? He has a probe team there. Question is... Is a probe team suppose to cloak all units in a base tile?
I have a save game in case it's desired.

You need either to have built the Empath Guild, or be the Planetry governer to be able to 'look' at other faction's bases.

I have found that by positioning a unit next to the enemy city and then using the mouse to right click on the city I am able to view what units are in the city at the bottom of the screen.

rscanlan - that is what I am talking about. I WAS NOT able to do so. And it keeps happening.
Rackam - You can look into all bases on your map if you have SP Empath or are Planetary Governor. You can look at any faction's bases that you are pacted with. You can look at any Faction's bases that you have infiltrated. I know about all those cases. But, early in the game, before any of that, you can see the military units in a base when you have units beside it. I have been having trouble doing that in the game I described above. I am trying to determine if there is something special about probe teams. I have found cities I cannot see the military in when beside them with my own units and THOSE do not have probe teams, so it must be something else.
The question, is it a bug, or undocumented feature?

Sorry, one thing I forgot to mention is that you need to hold the shift key when you RIGHT click on the base. This will cause the enemy unit or units to appear below the main window (where it displays your units when viewing a stack). Have you tried this?
