Haven't seen this posted.If you leave a plane with movement left in the air without hitting "space", when it's its turn to move, and click the "end turn" button, the plane will not crash. This can go on indefinitely.

But its almost useless - if the plane attacks anything, it will use up it's remaining movement, and thus crash. So you could leave planes aloft as a sort of short range AWACS, but they can't do anything before returning to a base. |

But you can leave it as a guardian over your units so they can't be attacked without SAM weaponry. Ugh. Only a problem for multiplayer, though as for single player the answer is simple - just say no. |

The AI does this in SP. i have a .sav, where the AI flys over and attacks my unit on the second turn, and does not crash because the good ship Enterprize beammed some fuel into it. If Firaxis need another copy of the bug save, I have it. |
