posted 05-19-99 01:51 AM ET I posted the same complaint as JTCullen a while ago and for the longest time I was cursing Firaxis and had a voodoo of Jeffrey Morris. The stuttering happened during EVERYTHING which caused me to turn off all the sound. Although it was playable then, it was not as entertaining as it would have been with sound. Then one day I had to reinstall Windows98 and the freakin problem was solved. Why, how, I do not know why. Not even my magical rabbit knows why. I do not even think that this will work for anyone else, but good luck... -Demiurge

You are quite right that nobody knows what's going on in Windoze half the time. It's just this big black box that goes crazy at will and there's nothing you can do about it. NT seems to be a little better, but 9x does require periodic reinstallation, more often if you keep sticking things you don't need on your computer.

You have to reinstall 9x even more frequently if you play games that like crashing. A couple of recent crpg's from another game company come to mind. :P
