Hi ppl,MY problem is that I just got a new PIII 500, with a Rage 128 videocard and SB AWE64 Soundcard, and now when I play SMAC whenever a Secret Movie is played or even when the little Firaxis Animation attempts to play on startup of SMAC, my monitor comes out with a message that the frequency is out of range, I have deduced it is the verticle frequency as Fv is 161hz and my monitor says it only goes up to 160hz. I tohught this would be a problem with my monitor but this is a replacement for another computer with the same monitor (and spec, I upgraded about three days after getting the last one to a 20gb hard disk) and that one worked fine. Hope someone can help! Ross.

Go to your desktop, right click, and select "Properties." Now you can adjust the refresh frequency. Choose one that's lower. That should help. |

Whoops. Nevermind. I was thinking about NT. You don't have it with 95. |

I can adjust the refresh rate from the Rage 128 Settings panel, at the moment it is set to "Optimal", and when I tried to change it it gave me a large message ...WARNING! Doing this could damage your monitor etc Unless I know it supports that rate of refresh, which I don't really know, but if someone can tell me what it would look like in the manual please tell me, the only "hz" bit is that Vertical Timing, which is on Autosync all the time.
