I can't get the darn thing to work! I have a P200 with 32MB RAM, running Win 95.With Netscape:
I click the button that says 'short,' enter my name and password, and the "playing area" goes totally white. The applet is *not* loading--I've left the window up long enough to know that. Also, it says "document:done" on the status screen, not "applet loading".
With Explorer:
After I log in, the "playing area" goes black, and I see the words "verifying user name and password," or some such. Then I get an internet explorer error, cautioning that "problems with this web page might prevent it from being displayed properly, etc." The details are:
Line: 15
Char: 5
Error: 'top.top_nav.document' is not an object
Code: 0
URL: http://www.ea.com/cf_alphahq/login.cfm
Has anybody else had this trouble? And have they figured a way around it? I've sent the bug to EA's help people, but they've basically told me "we don't know what that is, sorry."
***Note: I have tried to log on many, many times--I try it almost every time I come to this site. However, the first time I tried to write up this bug for the forums, I went to AlphaHQ and tried to log in using a second browser window, just to check on the error code--and it worked! The java applet loaded, and I was finally in the room! I was so excited (even though there wasn't anyone else in there) that I assumed the bug had fixed itself, and didn't write it up! Of course, next thing I knew, my system crashed (due to an unrelated download) and when I tried to log in after reboot--back to the same old, same old!
Arrrrrgh! What a tease! All help will thrill me beyond compare.
