I noticed these two bugs as I was playing today. First, when I try to attack a mind worm, I sometimes get a message saying that my unit is seriously overmatched, despite that the power comparison clearly shows a two to one advantage in my favour. Not exactly a serious bug, but it is annoying.Second, while producing a sky hydroponics satellite, the symbol for it is gone from the production menu. I am using V3.0 and I can add as many satellites as I want to the queue, as long as none are being produced. This bug may affect all the satellite types, but I have only seen it for the hydroponics labs. RAS

Yeah I hated that overmatch stuff too, but apparently (according to the answers I received) the data shown isn't all the info taken into consideration, and in any case, against native lifeforms it is only the Psi aspects that matter. Beware of misleading figures.(I think my thread was labelled "powerful mind boils" or something like that if you want to read the advice I was given first hand.) I was under the impression you only produced one per base ? If you add more then surely the rest are removed from the queue when the base discovers it already has one ? Or does it waste time building another ? |

The fact that the actual power figures are different from those displayed is very interesting. However, if I remember correctly, the only factors included in these fights WAS the bonuses due to morale, which gave me a clear advantage over the mind worm. Also, I easily blew it away each time it happened, so the power figures seem to have been right. Apparently you did not understand what I was talking about with the satellites. Unlike any other building in the game, you can build an unlimited amount of satellites. Personally, I think satellites may be more appropriately put in the units area. That would make it easier to set a base to just building satellites, and they are not permanent structures at a particular base. I intend to check out what you were told about mind worms. That might give me some tips on how to deal with at Librarian level and beyond. RAS |
