So much for unstable games and saving to prevent the loss of the game due to crashes!
Why the F*&§ does the game display the whole friggin worldmap after loading the sh&$ game again?
I guess I am going for the refund now, after all this damn problems with it.
No more Firaxis-Stuff for me anymore, I am fed up.

So the game removes the blacked out area or fog of war? This is prior to lanuching a Satellite?

Yes, it removes the black blanket over the unexplored lands, the fog of war, gives the players all comm-frequencies and spoils the whole game.
So my brother was pi**ed off after 4 hours of gameplay and having to restart the game.
He started nagging and bragging and the end was that we had kind of a dispute.
So this really spoiled the saturday gaming night and maybe you can understand why my first message was so harsh.
Acutally before my brother arrived I was totally happy with the game since it runs smooth and by the numbers since I installed the newest video-drivers.
Btw, the messages that pop up, when finishing a base facility for the first time also are just starting in hotseat games and than fade out at once. (Like "It is every citizens duty to go .........)
Why that?

There were many preferences that were perminately disabled for MP. The Voice Overs for base facilities should play only once for each facility that is built. Is the blackout problem a MP problem? Shouldn't be too difficult to dupe (and fix) if all we need to do is load a MP game. Hotseat?

It is a problem with MP only. My brother and I started a hotseat game and played for quite some time. Then we had to save the game for a little munch-break and when we returned and I loaded the game I got the above mentioned result.
The Voice Overs do not play in whole at all. Although it works in a LAN-Game, but there the VO are played every time a base facility is finished.

I know, there is lots to do in this support area, but is there a solution to the problem with saving a hotseat game?

I just wanted to do a little reminder on the hotseat saving problem, because the post is three weeks old by now and I didn't hear anything so far.

Another week has passed now and I am wondering if there is someone trying to find a solution to the problem after all.
Maybe a little update would be nice, like "We are still working on it" or something like that. So I would at least know that the problem is not forgotten.

Call me stupid, but I thought, that the support of a software company helps people with problems, so they get satisfied customers, who will buy future games?
This starts to pi$$ me off!

Now it is almost another month without any sign, that a customer and his problem is taken serious.
For me it was definetly the last game I bought from this company and I will definetly tell my experiences with this company to any of my friends with a computer.
Only way to be sure, that they don't do the same mistake as buying a game from Firaxis
