I am playing a game as the Believers, and have Morgan to the south. Morgan Industries is building a SP, and has an excess of minerals over what is needed to complete the project (aprox 20 or so). on the next turn he completes the project and begins another. I look again in the city and he has some 77 minerals towards the project! the thing is half done. I though that only 10 minerals would carry over. Also, his base is producing 4 extra minerals per turn (6/4,2 support), but it shows the project wil be completed in 19 turns. with 4 per turn comming in, it would take 26 turns to complete the project. Is this a bug? or a cheat that the AI gets on transcend level? I have a sav of the game if it is needed. (it's in the same bug file I have with the free pressure dome bug).I understand that the AI gets mineral cheats on this level, but this is beyond what is reasonable. IMHO

The AI may have disbanded units, or may have sent in a supply crawler or two to the city. If you have it saved, use the scenario editor to check if any supply crawelrs or nearby or in bases nearby, I also see how many units they have in the city before and after the 'incident.' Rember to check all cities close enough to send units there to be disbanded. If this is not the case, then we either have the AI doing serious cheating, or FIRAXIS has another bug on there hands. Which I'm sure they would fix in time. |

I had checked the editor, and no units are supply available (supply not discovered yet by morgan). it is definitly cheating big time, but I did not know if this was by design on the TI level. I have another Mineral cheat sav from a previous game, where the gaians get a base sunk while they were building a SP, they instantaneously got a PD and continued building the SP without losing minerals. At the begining of the turn saved, they do not have the PD. when the shoreline drops, they get the free PD. That one is on Librarian level. |

I've read somewhere that the AI does receive certain bonuses (production is one) at the last two higher levels. |

Yeah, hey, I noticed that, too:One of Miriam's sea bases was building a prototype fission nuke. I attacked the base with my cruiser, and the base switched to "ECM Sentinel-somethings". There was a bunch of red "surplus" under the production progress bar. The next turn the new sentinels were built -- again with a bunch of "surplus" hanging under them! I don't know how much production "carried over", but it was a heck of a lot more than 10! I think we should get ALL of our leftover production, just like in MoO 2! If it's good enough for the AI's ... |
