Hello,
I have the German edition of SMAC. Whenever I run a video, inside or outside the game, there are green horizontal lines all across the picture with about 2-4mm space between each line.
My computer is a P166, 46MB RAM, Diamond Stealth 64 2MB video card, and I have a 40x CD-ROM Drive. Does anybody know what the problem could be and how I can fix it?

What's worked for me and a few others is to lower your graphics acceleration by two notches. Right click on the desktop, choose properties, go to settings, click the advanced button, and go to the tab that handles acceleration. Lower it by two and restart.
As has been mentioned before, this is just a work around, and hopefully it will be addressed. The usual reply to this is to update to the latest drivers, but that is a bad call for me since ATI hasn't updated their drivers for my card since last July and they were buggy then.

The second after I posted the message I thought about checking for a driver upgrade. Luckily there was one and it fixed my problem as soon as I installed it.
Anyway, thanks for your help, you had the right answer!
