I can't seem to get my movies to work. I have an ATI card and the movies turn out to be green, purple, blue vertical lines. The sound is fine, and I checked the DXDIAG.EXE and the video drivers are certified and they pass all the tests.
I just read a post on csipgs and it said that SMAC only uses the features up to DX3. Should I have just stuck with DX5 that came with Win98. Would that have kept this problem from happening?

Usually the "green lines" problem with the movies and ATI cards are solved by visiting the ati website and downloading their latest drivers for your card.
