I think I read somewhere that e-mail play is possible. The manual has no reference to it and I can't fine it in the multiplayer options. How do I start and run an e-mail multiplayer game?? I currently have patch 2 & 3 installed.

See the "Guide for SMAC PBEM" thread in the "Multiplayer" forum ... the last post to it is about seven days old, so it will not display if you are reviewing only the last five days of that forum.
