Movies display in funky colors!

Any movie that plays in SMAC is riddled with neon green and other strange colors that shouldn't be there. However, movies run fine when I use the included utility (playuv15) to view them. What is wrong and how can I fix it? I have version 3.0 of SMAC running on a Dell 200MMX with an ATI Rage Pro powered video card. And yes, I do have the latest video drivers. Please help me if you can.
