Due to crashes in Terran.exe all the time when running this game I now never run without Norton Crashguard 3.0 running in the background. It allows me to actually play the game I paid $80 Cdn for.

System:

Dell Dimension XPS200, 32MB
Matrox Millenium 4MB video
Soundblaster (surely an industry standard)

I sent you all my system details when I registered so please look up any other system info you need.

Just installed 3.0. and we now have a new bug. Im assuming its new since I had never seen a scramble until after I installed 3.0.

Now, every scramble causes 3 instances of a tried to access invalid data problem which NC rates as a poor probability of fixing. So far it has succeeded and I can continue the game. I will send you the saved games and the crash reports as attachments on a separate email so that you may solve the problem. Because a software problem it surely is. I dont believe that you wont be able to get you hands on a Dell computer and recreate the problem

I also have intermittent movie problems the sound and video both stutter together. I have no problem running other games (Blade Runner and Jack Nicklaus 5) which both have a lot of sound / video.

Also, I had to install the game on my other logical drive (D, about 1.5 GB free) even thought I have 800MB free on my C drive. When I installed it there, the game would crash straightaway with unable to allocate draw buffer. Ok, so I did do a complete install but surely that leaves at least 400MB. How big does a draw buffer have to be, guys?

I didnt part with my money to be a beta tester. Its shameful, speaking as a professional software analyst, that this game (which is very good, otherwise I wouldnt be bothering to write this) has so many flaws. Ill be out of a job if my next project is as bug-ridden as SMAC, and thats a fact.
