I don't know about you guys, but every time i take over a base, the faction leader calls me and says its important, but when i click on okay, it doesn't bring up the chat windows? Anyone else got a problem?

I don't know, I always get the message. (Not that it's worth hearing - I get called a horrible drone-corrupter for being a Democrat with a Green economy quite enough, thanks).

Yes, this has happened to me several times as well ... one game ago (version 3.0), it was Miriam who kept wanting to talk with my faction (we were at war). Problem was, I encountered the "urgent message" pop-up, clicked "ok" and was greeted by another "urgent message" pop-up ... I would cycle through about four or five of these "urgent message" pop-ups before the cycle ended.
How many times did this happen to me in the game? Oh, I'd say that I entered the "urgent message" cycle about twenty-odd times before I vanquished her forces just to shut Miriam up for good.
Is there some bug underlying this phenomenon?

I've encountered this problem also. It usually doesn't bother me too much since I usually get it when I'm stomping some faction that really deserves it! I play a builder strategy and have a really long memory for those who have harassed me through the first couple hundred game-years.
So, unless I think that they're on the ropes and trying to arrange surrender terms, it doesn't matter. Of course, if it is a bug and delays their inevitable groveling then it becomes an issue.
Resistance is futile, prepare to be assimilated.

Anyone got a reply to this problem yet? I've lost two Pact allies because I can't answer their hails.
