Does the "Living Colony" SP actually do what it's supposed to do? I've only built it once, under version 2.0, but, checking the "Energy" screen, it didn't seem to be doing anything.

(Sorry if this has been asked before, but, at least from my browser, the forum's "Search" function doesn't work.)

I had a problem like that with the Weather Paradigm in v2..It didn't really seem to make things faster, but i never noticed until I get the v3 patch...Then I noticed my formers woopin butt...Maybe the problem was already found, and was applied in v3..

The Self-Aware Colony has another bug, too: the "Police" unit it supposedly provides isn't really a "Police" unit at all, but just a normal military unit.

A "Police" unit has "Non-Lethal Methods" and reduces unrest by 2. The Self-Aware Colony only reduces unrest by 1.

The Self Aware Colony does reduce the upkeep of facilities, but it does not show on the energy budget screens. Compare the amount of money you are supposed to get and the money you actually get in a turn.

Sorry, Victor, but that's not true (without you explaining further, that is). I don't kn ow if the living refinery works as it is supposed to, but any difference between what you are supposed to get and what you do get can be explained by Transcendi and Empath citizens. To see this, try this test. Set your Econ setting to zero; now no energy from commerce, orbital thingys, or cities will be turned into energy for your reserves. Set a lot of citizens to one of these two citizen types, and end turn. If the Self Aware colony does decrease costs and there is no income from these citizens, you will lose half of what the social engeneering screen says you will. However, with these citizens, you will probably still bring in money that turn. Hence, the descrepency is not easily linked to the Self Aware Colony without precise bookkeeping. Which I and I assume you havn't done.
