posted 03-29-99 09:16 PM ET I have an ati rage pro lt video card, and i can't get the green videos to go away. I have tried the latest ati drivers, their latest opengl driver build, and the latest drivers off the compaq website, but nothing helps. I have reinstalled directx 6.1 several times- would this problem be fixed under directx 6.0. Could the problem be caused by something different?

GREEN videos? I've never heard of this before.
Your videos are... GREEN?
That's just sick and wrong, man...

This has been solved with SMAC and a bunch of other games with your card by downloading the latest drivers from ATI. I'd make sure they're getting installed correctly.

No it hasn't. A friend of mine has the Rage IIc and is using correctly installed DX6.1 and correctly installed ATI driver v. 4.10.2240 (Latest of the ATI site dated 23-09-98) and he's getting nothing but green lines...
Anyway I don't blame firaxis since all ATI products prior to the Rage128 is crap :OP

I've already tried the four latest driver builds I can find, but none of them fix the green problem. I guess I'll just have to live with it until I get a new card (hopefully soon).

I already tried that particular driver: no only did it not fix the green movies, it gave me other strange errors, like the little green icq thing being surrounded by a pink square. Something weird is really going on. Does anyone know anything I can do besides a clean windows install?
