I have two computers (one with W95 the other W98). They see each other and I can move files around, but two bizarre things are
happening. 1) After I copy a file from the 98 machine to the 95 machine, when i run the file (exe), it gives me a kernal32.dll link error. (same
for any other file when trying to run)
2) More importantly, when running games, the W95 machine doesnt see any connection types to establish games. When you click on the Multiplayer button in AC, it does nothing. It was when I tried a game of AOE that i figured out the connections werent being seen by ANY game.
Does anyone know what is going on?
BTW I have the following setup:
Both machines:
Ethernet16 card (isa) with ipx/netbeui/tcp/ip,file sharing enabled, client for microsoft network.
Both cards seem to be installed properly (no conflicts) and both have the EEprom set to the same setting as Windows. Also, the
TCP/IP addresses are 10.0.0.3 and 10.0.0.4.
NOTE: I took the W95 machine to work and it saw the network just fine and ran programs ok (reinstalled the card to get this to
work). However, #2 still persists. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
