I'm using v 3.0 from a clean install. Is this still a bug? or some anomaly?

I'm curious, how can you tell where the missile came from? I've been smacked by conventional missiles that I know are Hive missiles, but I can't tell what base they come from. |

I have jumped up and down yelling in frustration as I am missled from half a world away right in the middle of my invasion force and I can't do squat about it. How do I know the missles are coming from 40+ squares away? Easy, aircraft carriers have not been discovered yet, and that is how close the nearest enemy base is. Firaxis, PLEASE fix this bug! It Makes Transcendence-more aggressive games impossible to complete, when any city of mine is open to enemy conventional missle attacks and they are too far away for me to return fire. I'm at war with 4 or 5 people at once, too, so there is no way I can keep up in unit production as long as the AI can cheat this way |

That happens to me every once in a while too, though I usually try to keep my enemies resources to a minimum by constantly sabatoging their bases with probe teams, and assassinating every once in a while, I figure if they can't build any base enhancements, they can't grow large enough to stop my probe teams. |

Cutter: I know this because I had the Empath Guild which provides infiltrator information on all the factions. I knew when the PB was built and the city it was located in prior to launch. It was 32 tiles away from the city it hit. UNBELIEVABLE! It took out my best city. I thought the missle bug was fixed, but it wasn't. I have seen other posts from players who are still encountering this bug. |

I would like to add my voice to this complaint. I just played a game in which the remaining 4 computer players were at war with me. I was holding my own and even gaining an edge when out of the blue (and half a world away) come several missiles. I had read that the infinite missile fuel bug was fixed. That made me happy. I have seen that it is not. That makes me unhappy again.

FWIW: I saw this too. Two fractions hit two of my major cities from way far away... I've eliminated both of them now, and am well on my way of eliminating the other fractions as well (they all seem to want to produce planet busters, so I'm not taking any chances).I'm on the librarian difficulty level btw, and I think the AI doesn't utilize its aircrafts properly? They're just sitting around in their cities doing mostly nothing. One of my pact sisters is the worst, she has two aircrafts sitting idle in my opponent's city effectively stopping me from seizing control of it. (20 years of radio silence stops me from telling her to attack him...) -- Rune |
