In my current game, I recently had some sunspot activity. I took advantage of it to deal with some .. unpleasantness .. but I also noted I was able to right-click on a faction on the commlink and demand withdrawal of troops. It seemed a bit odd, but as the unit was right outside one of my newer bases, I was quite glad it turned out the way it did. I suppose this means that you can also cancel pacts during sunspot activity this way?

Again, I suspect this is definitely intentional, but I thought I would inquire just in case.
