Ok, for those that have often crashes or slowing down problems, listen to this.
(This only applies to those that can press Ctrl-Alt-Del and get a list of running programs.)
Close out all the programs except SMAC. Once the game is loaded, there should be no terran, close that in Ctrl-Alt-Delete. You should see Explorer and Sid Meier's...
It's worth a try!

I found out why I was getting occasional stuttering, the game is not compatible with Norton Anti-Virus (at least on my system). When i disable NAV, the stuttering quits. if this applies to you, try it. (v3.0)
