Trees will grow onto Mirror & Condenser squares, but you're not allowed to plant them there. These behaviors have persisted into Version 3.

Are there plans to allow forests to be planted outright on Mirrors & Condensers, is their growing onto these squares a bug, or did you intend for trees to grow where they can't be planted?

I would prefer to be allowed to plant them, myself ... it would make timing less of an issue with terraforming.

It was designed this way so you have to use skill if you want that to happen.

It's not just skill, but time as well which is required to get forests to fall into place like you want them to.

The current design makes "early, slow" terraforming quite a bit more valuable than "late, fast" terraforming. Early expansion is important for other reasons, too, but I'm not sure if getting forests to grow over Mirrors and Condensers was meant to be one of those reasons. If it was, fine, I just haven't heard from anyone but you whether the design is intentional or not.

Another feature I would really enjoy is the ability to harvest lumber without building other enhancements. Pressing "D" to destroy a forest doesn't return 5 minerals to the former's base; destroying the forest by building a farm does.
