I just wanted to thank you for the 3.0 patch. I was one of those people who had the system completely lock up at a certain point in the game using version 2.0. Knowing you were going to address that problem in the next (3.0) patch I put SMAC aside (and went through severe withdrawl) and finished Half-life.

Now that I have the 3.0 patch my games keep running. YEAAAAAAH! I was really involved with my first Gaian game and it was good to return.

I appreciate the many additions you made to alpha.txt so that we can change even more things, like game length. With all the riduculous sniping y'all get on here for silly reasons (complaining about not being able to move over the poles???!) I thought you'd like to hear something from a satified customer.

Of course, now all my deadlines on other articles will slip 'cause I can't stop playing SMAC, but that's not your problem. Or is it? Maybe this whole game is a plot to get the editorial staffs so addicted that they can only write about SMAC and Firaxis. Yeah, that's it, isn't it? <wink>
