If I go back for it, they will put me back to work! Anyway, how well, if at all, does the game work (standard install) without the CD? I have a laptop and standard install

You won't get any movies, but playing the game should be fine. If you have the hard drive space, do a full install. Or - to bypass the annoying "CD-ROM not found" message, grab a freeware utility off the Web called "fakecd" which will fool Win95 into thinking your file folder is a CD-ROM. Run it in your autoexec.bat (W95 only). Gamers everywhere use it to fool games that want the CD onboard before it will play properly. Works well.
