First of all, I want to know if Firaxis is waiting off on posting the patch because it is not totally finished, or if there is another pending problem. However, I will get onto the bug:I reinstalled the game in order to get the patch to install correctly, but when I went into a previously saved game I found that the space elevator was not fixed. It was made worse; now it has no effect. It is supposed to make the mineral cost for satellites to halve, but nothing happens now. I made sure that a base producing 70 minerals did not make a satellite the next turn. ??? Answers, especially from Firaxis, would be helpful and appreciated. - Victor

COST is halved by DOUBLING your mineral output at the base. It is no bug, it is maybe somewhat unbalanced - I don't think it needs to be changed. |

It was a bug because when producing satellites with cities that have many minerals, eco damage sky rockets. If I remember correctly, Jeff said that it would be fixed by halving the cost of the satellite, but instead the whole part of the secret project that made building satellites faster was deleted. |

Another thing. Some here might say that this is not a bug, which could have been true before patch 3.0. Now, the Space Elevator does not affect the cost of satellites in any way, either doubling your output or halving the cost. |

Mr. Morris, do you have a response to this problem? |

Another note on this bug:The number left of the mineral output graph doubles when satellites are being produced, but the graph does not show that and the city produces at the rate of the graphed mineral output. |
