Movies dont play right after patch 2.0

After installing the uk 2.0 patch the movies stopped play right, they are srunk right down on the screen, this was not a problem until after the patch, i am sure i saw in the ealy days a troubleshooting note about movies but i cant find it, any ideas anyone, please |

I have the opposite problem. The movies play fine after the patch with sound, just the rest of the game has no sound. I noticed that my sound driver was not updated with direct X6. It sitll is using a direct X5 driver. Is direct X6 required for the patch 2.0? |

Chances are it's because your soundcard is being misdetected as EAX compatible. Set both EAX and DS3D to 0 in the alpha centauri.ini file. jkm firaxis games |
