I've built the required Voice of Planet project but am not getting the Ascendence project. What am I doing wrong? I started out on V1.0 and upgraded to 2.0, but still no more projects.
One more item: how do I get the UI to ignore other players moves? I'm not really interested in watching someone else's colony pod traverse the world on my mag tubes.
(I'm obviously unaccustomed to such forums -- I used my real name. Gawd, I feel like I'm wearing a suit or something.)

That's OK. Whenever I'm quoted in the forum, I'm invariably referred to by both first and last name, as if "Lee Johnson" is some sort of weird pseudonym. :-)

I have also experienced this problem in trying to reach a transcendence victory. The victory is turned on in rules and I have built the Voice of Planet. Any suggestions?

I had this exact same problem. I've tried increasing the number of Transceni at my bases, and reducing my eco-damage rating to zero, but still no joy.
Anyone got any ideas why I can't transcend?

Chances are it's the custom rules are disabled. Hit ctrl-k, then yes, then shift-f10. Make sure the transcendance is enabled. Hit ctrl-k to finish the game. If it's actually set, and you STILL can't start the project, email a save to me at [email protected] and I'll see what's what.
