I've tried all of the proposed solutions and what has finally worked for me, at least for now, is: I "End Task" through Control-Alt-Delete everything except Explorer, Loadwc, Systray, Tpnvram. (close everything, but what I absolutely need) I also make sure that the Autosave file is not in the Alpha Centauri folder, don't know why but I found one there. Then completely restart the game. Doing this got me through a game that continually crashed at the same point with the players doing the same thing. Haven't crashed again since. Hope this helps somebody. |
