I have everything for mag-tubes researched and my automated former periodically build a few mag-tubes. Unfortunately when I try to actually manually make a former build one the option is greyed out as is automate mag-tubes and build mag-tube to . . .
Any ideas??

This has been documented in other threads. I think that Firaxis has said this will be fixed in v3.0. Anyway just use the hotkeys <r> to build magtube, this works fine. Also you can use the build magtube to hotkey, but I don't remember what the hotkey is.

ctr-shift-t for tubes to a certain location
ctr-t for autotubes.
as far as I remember - it's been a busy few days and I have not had a chance to play.
