Is it just me or do they only work like Quantum Reactors? I had a Singularity PB that should have left Morgan with one city and a thin stretch of land (4 units radius from the city I hit). But instead it left two cities and a slightly wider strip of land. OK so I'm getting picky but I think it only hit 3 squares around the target city, not 4.James

I do notice that there are some bugs with Singularity Reactor. Units with Sigularity Reactors should have hitpoints of 40, but they get only 30, the same with Quantum Reactor. However, Singularity Reactors do reduce the costs of building units, as described in datalinks.I've never tried Planet Busters, so I don't know if they programed it right or not. |

Hypothetically, if I had been coding SMAC< I would have used the same quantity to represent the factor of 4 in range as the factor 4 in strength for singularity reactors, so if that one quantity had been mistakenly set to 3, then that would be consistent with both your observations.Pity that Firaxis don't publish their progressive bug and fix list, as then we'd know whether they'd already addressed this issue for version 3.0, and then we wouldn't have to ask on yet another thread in this forum. I find the number of posts overwhelming, and I'm under no pressure to read them, so the sheer volume must be daunting to Jeffrey Morris, Brian Reynolds and the others, as even a lightning speed reader cannot make a web browser update any faster. |
