This is interesting. I have a very similar set-up at home as in the office, get the game to work perfectly at home, but can't get it to launch at the office. My set-up at work uses NT (the biggest difference, '98 at home). I can go into the movies folder and they play just fine, but I get the black screen lock-up of death with the maxed out CPU thing whenever I try to run the game. I've tried all the listed NT tricks, any ideas? PC is a Micron PII 450,Starfighter AGP card, yamaha sound card, 3com ether-net card, and NT4.0 pack3. My home machine is a 350 with SB card, '98 and modem instead of ether-net and works perfectly, have the latest drivers for everything....I'm at a loss here, ideas?

Got it to work by removing the movies...they worked independently but not within the context of the game

Apply SP4 to your NT machine. Movies should play fine - only the audio stuttering will remain. That's a DirectX problem that Microsoft has to fix.
