Hi there,
Every time I start SMAC, it shows the Firaxis logo, which then disappears, then reappears, then disappears, and then the game locks up, and the only way I can get out of it is if I use Ctrl-alt-del. This problem seems to occur every time I try it, and I've tried getting new drivers for my sound card and video cards. I've also tried different install sizes and it still doesn't work.
My system is a P2-300/64Mb RAM/Trident975 Graphics Card/Orchid Righteous 3DII accelerator/32x Diamonddata CDROM/Creative SB32
Any help with this problem would be most appreciated. Thanx

That's where the intro movie kicks in. Try renaming the sound.dll and the various tweaks mentioned in the readme.txt. Also, you could try a typical install and play without the CD (verifying that it's a movie issue).
