posted 02-26-99 08:27 AM ET I have a Logitech Trackman Marble FX with the latest drivers that I'm running with Win98. After playing SMAC v2.0 for a few hours the mouse buttons lose their effectiveness. The keyboard works fine, the cursor moves across the screen fine, but right- and left-clicking has no effect. If I go to the desktop without closing SMAC the mouse works fine there, but when I re-enter SMAC the buttons still do not work. If I close SMAC and then reopen, the mouse still doesn't work. Although the mouse works fine on the desktop, I have to reboot if I want to continue playing SMAC. Appears there may be a memory leak. Otherwise the game is great.

I've had the exact same problem (See post below). When it happens I don't have to reboot, just use [CTL]-[S] to save, [CTL]-[Q] to quit, then when I start up the game works again.
