When you get a tech advance you get a big box with several sections including hyperlinks that tells you all the significant things you get with that advance. That isn't the same box that you see in the tech tree (F2) or datalinks (F1) for that tech. The tech tree (F2) AND the wall chart showing the techs are both missing important details on many of the techs. Usually its one or more of the items listed under MISC in the box you see when you make the advancement. A few examples: Basically, all the stuff listed under MISC in the advancement box doesn't make it to the tech tree, and a lot of it doesn't make it to the wall chart either. This is stuff you really ought to be able to find out easily by consulting the tech tree. I can see that space is a problem in the tech tree boxes, so maybe the central box for the 'current tech' in the tech tree should be bigger so that all the pertinent info and hyperlinks can fit. |
