I have been playing v2.0, and the game completely locks up on me every once in a while, and it is repeatable at the exact same position when I reload from autosave. It seems to be related to some automated units...

Join the club, that seem to be happening to many of us! A few people think it have to do with the larger maps, others think it have some to do with the automatic systems that SMAC have. Firaxis said that this problem should be fixed with patch version 3.0 an a few weeks!
