(Bought the game 17-Feb-1999)What is the procedure required for a "guest" machine to re-link to a multiplayer SMAC game that has been reloaded by the "host" P.C.?
At home - it appears I can successfully "load" a saved multiplayer game onto the host P.C. (my brother and I have tried to re-start several multiplayer games that have crashed - possibly the v2.0 patch will help the crash problem).
But, thus far, I have not been successful in getting the other P.C. to re-link to the multiplayer game that has been restarted.
Whenever I use the "guest" P.C. to re-link to a restarted game, my "guest" P.C. tells me that no game can be found.
What is the correct procedure that should be used to re-link to a restarted multiplayer SMAC game?
Is the v2.0 patch mandatory to enable this feature?
