Okay, this is not a bitch its just to help some peeps that may have been having trouble. THIS LAYOUT DOES NOT WORK, it not only does not work for AC, but for just about everything else. In some way, the combination of these 3 pieces of hard ware causes big conflicts. You will have a buggy crashy system from day one to forever. I switched to an Asus P2B and instantly all my problems with this game and all others just vanished.

Hope this helps someone, cuz i pull my hair out for 3 months over this.

I had similar problems with an ABIT LX6 and two different TNT-based video cards (the ones from STB and Diamond.) My system would crash hard every time certain programs ran. There was some sort of conflict between the TNT card and the motherboard that no amount of tweaking could dispel. I eventually was forced to return the cards and go back to my 'old' Matrox G200 card; a shame, really, since the TNT is a great Direct3D card.

I suppose I could have solved the problem by replacing the motherboard, but my budget didn't allow for a new video card *and* a new motherboard. :-(

Hmmm

I have a BH6, CL SB Live Value and CL Riva TNT with no problems

The only time I had problems was when I stuck in a Network card and the sound got all messed up.

Try moving the SB Live to a different slot - thats what fixed my problem.
