In the last few games I played, 3 factions all started near each other AND in the middle of a bunch of large islands / small continents. As a result, these 3 were never much of a challenge. What is worse, there were several nice large empty continents that could easily have accomodated them. Whatever algorithm assigns starting places needs some work. The game is less fun when I realise that 3 of the factions were out of the running from the beginning. I play on a Huge planet, Librarian level. |
