posted 02-20-99 07:18 AM ET According to the manual and the Datalinks, the Bulk Matter Transmitter should give +2 minerals at every base (which just isn't all that useful when compared to some other Secret Projects). Instead, in the game it gives +50% minerals at every base. This makes it a much better Secret Project (better than the Singularity Inductor).

Doesn't that make it the same as the Singularity Inductor? That would explain why Planet went crazy after I built both, on top of those automated processing plants (or whatever). Is there any way to see the breakdown of what minerals come from where, like you can with energy allocations?

Actually, the two are slightly different: the Singularity Inductor reduces ecology damage due to industry, while the Bulk Matter Transmitter can be used in combination with Quantum Converters if you don't build the Singularity Inductor (the SI makes any QCs you previously built obsolete). Of course, it will be cool if you can build both.
