At the start of a turn, I often get messages
on the map, above the actual message window.
These typacally say something like:
"somebody did terraforming near base X"
or
"something happened to base Y due to
faction Blah"
But before I can really read them, the
bas upkeep windows will cover them, and
the messages are gone before I can read
them.
This might just be a case of RTFM, but is
there a way to go back to these messages?
Sometimes they will appear in the message
box below the map view, but not the ones
related to other factions.

You can click the "M" next to the data readout to see messages from that turn.

I too have problems with messages being covered up and disappearing.
The M for messages does not seem to show all messages though.
Example ... I don't think it shows messages sent by fellow HUMAN players via their chat boxes ... and those often are VERY IMPORTANT messages!
I think there were other system messages that do not get saved in with the M for Messages group!
Also ... related problem ... you often need to see messages back a turn or two, but there is no way to see them.
Thanks alot for your fast and tireless help and for fixing so many of these things so quickly! I definately am very impressed!

Hi, the "M" tab doesn't always show the messages that flash across the map window, these are the messages that say what other factions are doing near you, which can be important! If there isn't a way to go back to these, it would definately be nice to have in a patch.
