posted 02-19-99 10:13 AM ET I thought the movement of the units in the demo was fluid and great. Purchasing the real game I found that it ran too slowly to let the units take normal movements. I had to switch to quick movements, otherwise the game was intolerably slow. Nevertheless, I like the fluid movement of the normal setting. What can I do to speed up the movement of the units (other than buy a new computer)?
I have a Pentium II running at 233 Mhz, with 32 mb of RAM. It's the RAM, isn't it?

It may be the RAM, which is soooo cheap now that an upgrade to 64 or even 128 if you play flight sims is well worth it.

Get v2.0, which improves unit rendering speed. An alternative is to copy the low-rez units into the games directory from the \alternative art\lowres caviar folder.
