I'm playing the Hive Mind at level 4 (Librarian). About 20-30 turns ago, I built the Voice of the Planet. As usual, it said anyone can now build the Ascent to Transcendence. But, no one is and it's not listed on the list of projects to build. I've even continued to the point where I've build all the remaining Secret Projects and have several cities that have build all the regular projects. Am I missing something? If this is a bug (probable), it's a pretty bad one.

Didn't you already send me a save on this? We'll I've got one, but haven't looked at it yet.

It looks like someone called Carradine has the same problem I do. You told him to send you a save game. I saw the message and sent mine as well (about 20 minutes before you sent your reply to me).

It looks like I've somehow really messed up that game. Apparently, I can no longer build Formers. On cities with water access, I can still build Sea Formers (two identical versions), but no land Formers. On land-locked cities: nothing.

I got your email. You were correct. Somehow, all four winning methods were turned off in the Scenario Editor. I set it back to Standard Rules (CTRL-K, YES, SHIFT-F10, Standard Rules) and finished the game.

Now, the only thing is, not only did *I* not make those changes, I had never even started up the Scenario Editor. The only thing I can think of that might be related is that when I started the game, I told it to use custom rules (I think that's what the option was called). Maybe I'm mistaken, but I thought that meant use all the settings from the previous game I had played. From now on, I'll just start up with Standard Rules.

Anyway, thanks for all the help. The fact that my rules were "odd" would go a long way to explain why this game played differently from all the others.

BTW. You're doing a great job here.

I tried the same trick with the scenario editor and noticed also that none of the victories were enabled. I used the option of "Use Current Rules" when I started my game (and I had played previous games on standard rules). I recreated it easily by starting a new game with "current rules" and then immediately going into the editor to double check.
