posted 02-18-99 01:56 PM ET Last night I was trying to eliminate a pop 1 captured base so I could move it. I built a colony pod and the city didn't disappear. I then hurried the production of three more colony pods and the base still remained in place. I had the Human Genome Project built and I suspect that the +1 Talent from the HGP or the fact it was a captured city are involved in the problem.

At certain difficulty levels I think the creation of a colony pod doesn't cause a loss of population (I think citizen and specialist only). That may be it too.

If true, that is the cause. I was playing at the lowest level.

Actually under citizen pop. level decreases until you're at 1. After that I guess you can make as many colony pods as you want. The only way I've heard of eliminating colonys that you own is to do the atrocity that excicutes the citizens. It is listed in the manual somewhere. Thats all I have to say about that. Hope it helps.
