I have built a mine and a road on a rocky and moist square and can only get 2 minerals from it. If I have read the manual correctly, I should get 4 minerals (1 for a rocky square, +2 for mining on a rocky square, and +1 for building a road in a mined square.(Right?)
(I am having this problem with more then one square with the same specs.)

I have a mine and a road on a different rocky and moist square with a mineral bonus and as the manual predicted I am gather 7 minerals from that square.

Yes, these two examples came from the same game.

What's up?????

I'm pretty sure someone responded to this in the game forum, but just in case. Basically, it sounds like you haven't gotten the tech advance that allows 3+ minerals to be reaped from a square. I forget which one it is, but the tech tree will tell you. You have the same restrictions (a gateing tech advance) for nutrients and energy too. But keep in mind that bonus squares will allow you to break that limit prior to discovering the tech. Hope that answers your question.

First I want to say this game is a Masterpiece. OK.

I too have found this problem. It started in Version 2.0. I gave several terraformers different automatic orders and for the next 100 turns several of them stayed in the same spot doing nothing. I am playing the Hive. I don't know if that is important, but maybe. I am still playing the same scenario, but now I am manually terraforming everything. If you would like a copy of my saved game I would be glad to send it to you.
