I've seen a couple of messages now talking about how the game plays a little faster if you use Low-Res graphics instead of Hi-Res. Where do you change this at? How do I know what one I am now using?

Unless you've copied *.cvr files, you're using the hi-rez ones. Downloading v2.0 from this site might solve any speed issues you're having. If you want to revert to low-rez units, copy the *.cvr files from the \alternative art folder on the CD into the games directory (default: c:\program files\firaxis games\sid meier's alpha centauri).
