Well sadly I've already had problems with 2.0. It seems that the voice volume controller doesn't work. I can move it all the way to no volume and the 'turn complete' is still BOOMING loud. I've always found the music too quiet, so ended up playing with music and main on full, and sound and speech on like 30 or so. Doesn't seem to work anymore.

I've also noticed it seems the sound is somewhat inconsistent. In some situations the cursor sounds as you move thru menus/buttons are loud, and others quiet, etc.

Anyone else notice this? I have an older SB16, but I've downloaded the most recent drivers recently to be sure I was up to date. The music is definetely quiet, and
has been (for me anyhow) since the first version. I used to at least be able to turn down the voice though.

BTW it would be nice if you could turn off the voice for 'turn complete' and 'terraform complete' and stuff, but still hear the voices for buildings/technologies, etc.

Disregard. I have figured out that what was happening is that the voice volume slider does affect the normal game voices. It just doesn't affect the cpu*.wav file voices for things like 'terraform complete' and the like. I've managed to make things the way I want it, and I can see it is not a bug.
